Tax Manager

We are seeking an experienced, dedicated and meticulous Tax Professional to join our team as a Tax Manager to play a key role in supporting the group’s tax function.

Your primary focus will be to ensure the integrity of our tax compliance, support our financial reporting, and provide well-researched analysis to inform business decisions.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Tax Compliance & Reporting: Manage the timely and accurate preparation and filing of the group’s tax compliance obligations, including profits tax return review, transfer pricing documentation, BEPS 2.0 Pillar Two reporting, and CoR applications.

  • Technical Analysis & Advisory: Conduct thorough research and analysis on the tax implications of business activities. Provide recommendations for management to ensure all decisions are made with a full understanding of relevant tax laws and regulations.

  • Special Enquiries: Lead and manage responses to tax disagreements and enquiries from tax authorities to minimize exposure.

  • Cash Movement Analysis: Provide analysis on fund flow arrangements and cash repatriation to ensure they are structured in a tax-compliant manner.

  • Project Support: Support ad-hoc transactions and Joint Venture projects by conducting tax due diligence and researching tax-efficient structuring options that align with compliance requirements.

  • Group Coordination: Work collaboratively with accounting teams to review interim and year-end tax assessments and provisions, particularly from BEPS 2.0 Pillar Two perspective, ensuring consistency and alignment with group accounting policies and relevant tax standards.

  • Team Guidance & Training: Provide ongoing guidance and share knowledge with the accounting teams across our business units in Hong Kong, Mainland China, and Singapore to strengthen overall tax compliance capabilities.

 

Requirements:

  • Professional Qualifications: Holder of a recognized professional accounting or tax qualification (CPA, CTA, or equivalent).

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

  • Core Experience:  Minimum 10 years’ relevant post-qualification experience, combining training from a Big 4 professional firm with in-house experience from sizable corporate groups.

  • Industry & Listing Experience: At least 5 years of experience working with Hong Kong-listed companies, specifically within the real estate development and investment properties sector.

  • Technical Expertise: Demonstrated experience in managing tax compliance and providing technical tax support across multiple jurisdictions.

  • Communication Skills: Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical tax matters clearly and concisely to internal stakeholders.

  • Interpersonal Skills: A collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills, capable of building positive working relationships with colleagues and external advisors.

  • Analytical & Technical Proficiency: Strong analytical and research skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

  • Language Proficiency: Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese, and Putonghua).

 

Candidates with less experience may be considered as Senior Tax Accountant.
